- This rally was likely a part of the campaign for “Venetian Knight” which was believed to be an honorific student elected position for the 1925 Spring Day. The theme of Spring Day that year was related to Venice. Several faculty members participated in the contest and the Wilson mentioned here is law Professor Lyman P. Wilson, who was one of the candidates. The student dress and caption might not indicate formal ties to the Klan.
