- Description:
- Hele Shaw pump is an electro-hyraulic pump used on ships. Hele-Shaw was a fluid scientist and a class of fluid flow profiles are named after him. The photo has a sign -Hele-Shaw Variable Stroke Pump. These are used in electrical-hydraulic pumps often in marine engineering to power the steering mechanism or rudder.Labels include lever for declutching electric motor and cultching pump shaft for hand gear, change over valve, relieve valves, replenishing valves, emergency hand gear drive shaft, electric synchronous receiver unit, electric motor, and bedplate replenishing tank.
