Caption reads: "Miss Anne Mickiewicz, homemaking teacher in the elementary schools of Detroit, MI, standing, and Miss Eleanor Harkness, teacher of homemaking in the Central School, Williamson (NY), who are students in the Child Development course at the College of Home Economics, Cornell University, Summer Session. The class, which includes students from many states and several countries, has studied such topics in relation to children as jealousy, religion, quarrelling, and negative resistance, retarded speech, dawdling, the effect of nutrition on growth and development."
