From left are: Miss Beatriz Manaquis, Manilla, P.I., a Fulbright scholar; Miss Ingeborg Eidsaether, Oslo, Norway, who attended Columbia University on a Home Economics Association scholarship; Dean Yasu Hatakoshi, Nara, Japan, who was touring this country for three months, visiting home economics colleges under the sponsorship of the U.S. government; Mrs. Margit Hayek, a native Austrian living in London, England, and visiting the U.S. to observe adult education in home economics; Mlle. Lucienne Joy, a Belgian who represented the Food and Agricultural Organization at the UNESCO conference of directors of children's communities in Charteroi in October 1949; and Miss Spurck.
