- Elaine Windrum, seated at table beside wall mirror in one of the homemaking apartments of Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, finishes flower arrangement of another student as part of home decoration project; mirror is part of additional project on refinishing, in 1946.
Caption reads: "Home beautification is an important part of the homemaking courses at Cornell University. Above, Elaine Windrum of Kerhonkson completes a flower arrangement on a table which was refinished by one of her fellow students. The mirror catching her reflection is still another refinishing project of the girls in the apartment."
