Eastern Penan
Kenyah
Penan man
Long Kepang
Lakau betēē' (hunting)
- Description:
- The man in the photograph was identified as Eastern Penan from Long Kepang by Garen Jengan. James Lalo disagreed, saying that his lack of bangles meant that he was Badeng, a Kenyah sub-ethnic group. The photograph can be dated back to the postwar period from the man's dressing and haircut. Garen pointed out that the wrist shows marks for having selungan.
Person/people pictured from the Eastern Penan, Badeng and/or Kenyah indigenous groups.
