- This image shows a portion of a roughly circular, likely Seneca-era pit feature (Feature 17) when it was first exposed after removal of overlying plow-mixed soil. The stain is in the upper right-hand corner of the test unit, to the right of the black-and-white north arrow. Only the northwest portion of this feature was excavated; it appears to have been located in the bench area of White Springs House 4.
