- Description:
- This photograph shows the excavation trench surrounding the west end of House 3 (Trench 1) being refilled by mechanical equipment at the end of the excavation season. The bottom of the trench was lined with water-permeable landscaping fabric to protect underlying features. Grass seed subsequently was planted in the area to return it to the same state as it was in before excavation.
