- Selling a commodity product, Morton emphasizes the convenience and pervasiveness of its sales. Labels are used to show the locations of Morton warehouses (1-17) and plants (A-J). The pictorial and color elements enhance the message. Note that the map distortion - shrinking the country's East-West dimension - reduces gaps that would otherwise be more noticeable in the Southeast and the West.
